Case study · 2020 to 2021 · Under NDA

A patient app audit with a clinical trial on the calendar.

A digital health company whose app helps patients undergoing cancer treatment report outcomes to their care teams. I led the design audit and the release scope against a hard clinical trial deadline, across a multi-vendor delivery.

Problem

A hard deadline, several vendors, and patients who need clarity.

For the business
  • The patient-facing app needed an audit and a scoped release before the clinical trial deadline
  • Multi-vendor delivery: the design audit had to align with engineering commitments
For the users
  • Patients undergoing cancer treatment need clear, motivating, low-friction interactions
  • Care teams need timely insights from patient-reported outcomes
Solution

A structured audit that engineering could ship from.

I led the design audit, delivered as a structured, spreadsheet-driven document engineering could plan against, and scoped the next release for the clinical trial milestone of a national quality-of-life study.

Design changes were aligned with engineering capacity across the knowledge transfer, core build, UAT, and support and training timeline, coordinated across three delivery vendors.
